Yesterday was inauguration day of the project, four small pieces placed on assorted poles and trees in Venice. And as I walk away I wonder, "Will people stop and read? Will they want to take the image to keep?" The second question matters. 1) on the back is the url for this site (which may get added on a paper tearsheet below future cards) and 2) I want people to feel compelled to hold these moments as I hold these moments.
It's a leap, to throw yourself out into the world. But it's also safe to do it in semi-anonymity. And that too raises a question: "When do we take off our masks and let ourselves be known?"

For several years I was an anonymous blogger who both wanted to be seen and be safe in invisibility. Now I move towards being seen.
